David Powell of MVW Roofing came at our request to inspect the condition of our roof dormers. We first planned a repair to the fascia of the dormers. Later, we had some hail here and called David back to inspect roof. No storm damage was detected, but the shingles were missing lots of the granules due to age. David took lots of photos and was very thorough with pointing out the age related degradation of the shingles. We had a new roof installation due to the age of the roof and to get it done before we possibly would have had more damage.. David was very thorough in explaining the types of shingles available and workmanship warranties and how the dormer work should be completed. He set up the job with the roofing installation crew and this crew under the leader, Jonathan, came yesterday and reroofed and repaired dormers all the same day. I contacted MVW Roofing for a quote on gutter installation. Jessica was very helpful scheduling the quote and the communication was great. The initial email had a PDF file with the appointment information and a quick profile on who would be stopping by your house to complete the quote (always great to avoid stranger danger). A couple weeks later, the MVW crew showed up on time and on schedule and did a wonderful job installing gutters all the way around our house. When they were done, they cleaned everything up and aside from having new gutters you wouldn't have known they were there. I'd happily recommend their services. The MVW staff were very respectful and answered questions when I had them. Upon final inspection before closing out the job, the inspector noticed a portion of the flashing wasn’t applied in a manner matching the level of MVW’s standards of quality for workmanship. A return visit was scheduled to redo that portion. When he came to fix the flashing, I showed Jonathan some work that was to be done to a couple of rafters. The inspector didn’t go into the attic as he was just taking photos of the outside portion. I had a concern about the rafters because the repair didn’t appear to have been finished in my opinion. He agreed with my assessment and worked hard to get the work completed to my satisfaction and in line with the company’s level of quality workmanship. I have been very pleased with the MVW staff’s professionalism, importance that the finished job was high quality workmanship, and that the customer experience and satisfaction was positive.
