Mrs. Andrel called MVW Roofing when she began noticing several areas in her home that were leaking. In multiple rooms in her home, there were visibly clear areas of discoloration on the ceiling. Our appointment specialist set an appointment for our Sales Representative, Logan, to come and preform a free roofing inspection on her home. Logan arrived and got to work right away assessing the damage Mrs. Andrel's roof had endured. He noted that there were missing shingles likely causing the leaking issue the homeowner was having. The surface of her existing shingles were very faded, and they were smooth to the touch. Brand-new shingles are one, uniform color, with a rough texture on top. Mrs. Andrel's roof was certainly past its intended lifespan. Logan the sales representative reviewed his findings with the owner of the home and gave her multiple plans of action to get the repair or replacement rolling. In the end, Mrs. Andrel felt it would be best to have the entire roof replaced. With that being said, this roof was added to the production schedule to be replaced right away. Our outstanding crew arrived and got to work right away ripping the old worn shingles off the roof. There was some decking that had to be replaced due to the rain penetrating through the wood. These affected pieces were removed and replaced with new OSB. After this, the Velora underlayment was rolled on as a protective barrier to seal out any leaks that may try to creep their way in in the future. IKO shingles in the color Weatherwood were chosen to restore this Lakeland residence. The finished product looks phenomenal! Mrs. Andrel's home is now 100% leak free! Our crew took their time ensuring that this resident's lawn was left spick and span with no remnants or nails in sight. Thank you for choosing MVW Roofing!
Mrs. Erin contacted MVW Roofing on behalf of the Lumber City Post Office, which was in urgent need of a roof replacement. The existing roofing system had reached the end of its lifespan, and leaks had begun affecting the building's performance. Our crew began by removing all existing roofing down to the wooden decking.
Once exposed, we replaced several sections of rotted or damaged wood and addressed structural issues with fascia and rafter repairs to ensure long-term durability. To defend against water infiltration, we applied Sealoron XT Ice & Water shield across all valleys and flashing areas, then secured a felt underlayment over the full deck
We installed new aluminum drip metal along all eaves and rakes, replaced the vent pipe boot flashings, and added new chimney flashing where needed. Architectural shingles were installed with ring shank nails for superior hold, and ridge venting was added along with ridge caps to complete the system.
The Lumber City Post Office now has a stronger, more weather-resistant roof that's ready to serve the community for years to come.
MVW Roofing replaced an entire roof for a homeowner in Lake Park, GA. The project began with our team carefully removing the existing roofing to reveal the underlying wood structure. We conducted a thorough inspection of the wood decking and found areas that had been affected by rot and damage. These sections were promptly replaced with high-quality materials—either CDX plywood or OSB plywood of 1/2" thickness, depending on the specific needs of the structure. We also replaced any damaged deck boards and fascia wood to ensure a sturdy foundation for the new roof.
Once the foundation was secure, we moved forward by installing a synthetic felt underlayment on the remaining wood. This layer serves as an extra barrier against moisture and is crucial for extending the life of the roof.
Next, we installed aluminum drip metal along all the eaves of the roof deck. This metal flashing prevents water from seeping under the shingles and causing damage to the wood structure beneath. It’s an essential feature for protecting the integrity of the home.
For added protection, we installed brand-new vent pipe boot flashings wherever needed. These flashings provide a tight seal around vent pipes to prevent leaks, a key part of ensuring that the roof functions properly. Additionally, if the chimney required it, we replaced the chimney flashing as well, offering further reinforcement against water infiltration.
With the protective elements in place, we began the process of installing the new shingles. We chose high-quality, three-tab shingles that were carefully layered to provide both durability and aesthetic appeal. These shingles not only offer long-lasting protection, but they also complement the home’s appearance with their classic, clean design.
To maximize ventilation, we installed ridge vents on all the ridges of the roof, if required. These vents help regulate airflow and prevent the buildup of moisture, ensuring that the attic stays dry and well-ventilated, which helps prolong the lifespan of the roof.
The final touch was the installation of ridge caps, which we placed along the roof’s peaks to provide both a finished look and extra protection against the elements. These caps are designed to seal the roof's ridges, preventing any water from entering the home.
As the project wrapped up, our team made sure to thoroughly clean the site and haul away all roofing debris, leaving the homeowner with a pristine, newly renovated roof that will last for years to come.
With the roof replacement complete, the home is now better protected from the elements, with enhanced curb appeal and improved functionality—ready for whatever weather comes its way.

Mr. Daniel owns a home in the small town of Douglas, Georgia, and his roof hadn’t been replaced in 15 years, showing clear signs of wear. Looking to replace it, he researched local roofing companies online. Impressed by MVW Roofing’s 5-star rating and numerous positive reviews, he decided to call us for a free estimate.
After discussing his concerns with our appointment center, we informed Mr. Daniel about what to expect when our sales representative arrived. During the inspection, our representative carefully examined the roof, taking photos to help Mr. Daniel see what we observed. He noted that many shingles were starting to lift, which could lead to leaks, and that the roof's surface had severely faded, making it unappealing to the homeowner.
Once the findings were ready, our representative reviewed the photos with Mr. Daniel, who quickly recognized the need for a full roof replacement. Our representative then asked whether he preferred asphalt shingles or metal roofing. Mr. Daniel wanted quotes for both options before deciding, and we were happy to provide them. After considering the estimates, he ultimately chose a metal roof.
With the decision made, our skilled crew got to work, efficiently installing the new metal roof. We also added six-inch seamless aluminum gutters, downspouts, and gutter guards, transforming the appearance of his home. Mr. Daniel was thrilled with the result, and we are grateful that he and his family chose MVW Roofing for their project!
