Mrs. Rose of Albany, Ga reached out to MVW Roofing when her roof began showing severe signs of deterioration. Multiple areas of rotted wood, damaged decking, and worn shingles were leaving her home vulnerable to water damage- especially around the valleys, chimney, and flat roof sections. The existing roof system was longer offering reliable protection, and both sloped and flat areas needed a complete overhaul to restore strength and weather resistance.

Our team removed the existing down to the wood decking, replacing ten full sheets of plywood and 80 linear feet slat decking to create a strong foundation. Any additional rotted or damaged wood was repaired using high-quality plywood, ensuring lasting stability. We installed Velora One synthetic felt across the roof deck and Sealoron XT Ice and Water Shield in all valleys and flashing areas for maximum leak prevention. New aluminum drip metal was along all eaves and rakes, and we replaced old vent pipe boots with Perma vent pipe flashings. The chimney received brand-new flashing a cricket for proper water diversion.

For the sloped roof sections, we installed starter strip shingles followed by IKO Dynasty architectural shingles secured with ring shank nails for enhanced wind resistance. We added ridge vents on two main ridges to improve attic ventilation, then finished with hip and ridge caps for a clean professional look. On the flat roof sections over the carport and addition, we applied a modified bitumen roofing system, providing long-lasting water protection. Mrs. Rose's home is now ready to weather any storm.
