At 17 years old, the roof had already been patched multiple times, but leaks and weak spots were beginning to resurface. The shingles had lost much of their protective granules, and the underlying decking was vulnerable to water intrusion. The MVW Roofing team began by removing all existing roofing down to the wood deck. Any rotted or damaged wood was replaced with durable plywood, and the entire deck was securely back nailed for extra strength. We then applied deck tape on all plywood seams and eave drip areas to provide a watertight seal.

For underlayment, we installed Velora One synthetic felt and added Sealoron XT Ice and Water Sheild on all eaves, valleys, and flashing areas to prevent leaks where roofs are most vulnerable. New aluminum drip metal was installed along all eaves and rakes, and we added fresh vent pipe boot flashing where needed.

To complete the system, we installed architectural shingles with ring shank nails for maximum wind resistance, a new ridge vent system to improve attic ventilation, and durable ridge caps for a polished, finished look.
